Yulgilbar Station was founded in 1840 by Edward Ogilvie as a 200 000 acre sheep station. The run selected comprised the most fertile region of the Clarence River valley; in North Eastern New South Wales encompassing over 80 kilometers of the river.

The property was owned by the Ogilvie family until being sold in 1926 to a syndicate of the Morrissey brothers and silent partner Tom Baillieu.

16 King Ranch bulls dominate the early history of Yulgilbar

Sam Hordern’s untimely death

His daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Baillieu Myer, inherit Yulgilbar

1966

First annual production sale at Yulgilbar conducted in September

Yulgilbar proclaimed a Flora and Fauna reserve

Annual production sales discontinued due to the beef crash
